The City Council has voted to move forward with ranked choice voting (also known as IRV) for this fall's election. Cam has been an advocate for ranked choice voting since the late 90s, and has fought for it as an elected official. He led the IRV Task Force in 2006, which culminated in putting IRV on the ballot. He campaigned for the ballot initiative, which won 65% of the vote, and he's been one of the Council's leading voices for moving forward with implementation this year.
